Pie for Breakfast...She's Definitely a Pearson

Well hello again. We found out yesterday that this mall our driver/translator keeps taking us to is walking distance away from where we are staying...thus we walked today and didn't even bother calling her. We are suppose to get Dinara's passport today complete with exit Visa (Yipeee!!). So we will have to go tomorrow morning and rebook her flight from Moscow home...we were suppose to bring her passport this afternoon to Lufthansa to pay for her ticket. Oh well. C'est la vie.

Well it is confirmed that she is definitely a Pearson. Yesterday the three of us walked to the closest coffee bar (30 minutes one way) for a coffee americano (Andrew) and a latte (Nadine). This was my Mother's Day breakfast. Well when we got there I noticed two nice looking pieces of pie and got Andrew to ask for them. I then used Andrew's wee tiny coffee spoon to sample some of this to Dinara. Well suffice it to say she ate most of my piece of pie...I ordered another for me, which she also helped me eat. It was cherry and very good. I think I might have a piece today as well. Other then the coffee my first Mother's Day was a comedy of errors. We were shopping again and I found a beautiful pair of Italian leather pumps I wanted...well when I went to pay their bank lines were down and no credit cards would go through. Ok fine...I didn't really need another pair of shoes anyway (not with my new Dior purse I got). So that is strike one for our outings. Later that day we went back to this Turkish restaurant we liked. I get Andrew to order for me and I don't end up getting what I wanted. Ok strike two. I reorder my meal and still don't end up getting the amazing chicken kabob I wanted. Instead I get a fatty ground lamb kabob covered in cheese. SOOOOO not what I wanted. Ok strike three...no more tries. At least my husband and little girl were good to me. Dinara hardly fusses at all and is a great sleeper...well except for this morning when she woke up at 5:30 am. Good thing Andrew was up already and showered...crazy boy. I just changed her and handed her off to daddy. I woke up at 7:30 am. We have an arrangement...he is a morning person thus he can take her in the mornings while I get an hour or so more sleep and I stay up the rest of the day and night if needed. Most of the time it isn't needed but who knows in the days to come.

I am sooooo excited about going to Moscow. Andrew is fed up with being away from Canada. Two months ago I would have bet money that I would be the person to crack from being away so long...I would have lost that money. He is whining and complaining and getting easily upset. I just try to distract him and keep him level. I keep saying how many days are left until we are in Canada. Many, many, many Plinkly moments occurring.

Again no pictures. I brought my data drive to upload images and there is no tower for me to do so with. They lock it away. Sorry guys you will all have to come to Saskatoon some time and I will show you all the photos we have taken. Well hopefully you aren't sick of us complaining yet...and are finding the blog still interesting. The air quality here is much better but the entry way to our apartment is disgusting. It smells like urine and really makes you want to vomit. This smell however doesn't come into the apartment except in the room with the toliet. I bought some oust air freshener the other day and this doesn't work very well against this smell.

I have cured Dinara of her fears of the bathtub. We play the very messy splashy splashy game and she has a great time. She even wants to stay in the tub and not get out sometimes. I am very happy about this as we want to take her to mom/dad and tots swimming lessons in Saskatoon and Canmore.

Enough for today. Miss you all so very, very, very much. Only 4 more days until we are back in Canadian civilization and not a moment too soon. Talk soon.

Hello Lovely family of Three!
Awww, it sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day, Nadine! I'm so glad that you got a new purse! Dinara sounds like a little food monster, and boy, do I LOVE kids with voracious appetites! Kids look so cute when they eat, and I'm sure she's probably adorable when she does!
I cannot *WAIT* for you guys to get back and settled and ready for visitors. I'm *this* close to exploding with anticipation! My parents came out to toon-town to visit me last weekend, and I showed them all your photos, and my mom was just cooing in that goofy little Greek accent of hers, saying "awww, she soooooo keee-uuuuute!" and starting in with the "greek woman cute regime" banter that they are known for. Meanwhile, my dad, being 70 and a little out of the loop, said, "But, your friends are so...white. How did they have a baby like that?" *shakes head* Sometimes I wonder if he listens.....

GREAT BIG HUGS! 4 more days, 4 more days!!!!
Love,
Aris :)

Nadine,

One day Dinara will bring you breakfast in bed for Mother's Day and I just know she will get your order right on the very first try!! (And even if she doesn't - it will be the most perfect breakfast ever!).

Have a safe trip home. We're looking forward to seeing you this summer hopefully.

Love to the three of you,
Karen

Andrewski,
Hang in there! Four more sleeps and you will be in home territory. I think you kids have done amazingly well in coping with a situation not very many of us could have - so don't get discouraged now. You are almost home free and look at your little treasure. I do believe she is worth it! See you soon,
Love

Well my Children it's almost over and soon you will be on wings coming home. Our four legged grandson is probably doing a bit of crying for you to get home too! The pie eating is definitly only a Pearson thing, can't be from the Watson side unless it's pumpkin, banana cream, coconut cream, chocolate, oh, I guess it could be from us too. Miss you lots, lots, lots and L O T S !!!!!! Mom & Dad.

Hi Three Pearsons!
The pie is definitely a Pearson downfall.
I dream about pie--especially lemon meringue!
I am glad Dinara is keeping up with you in the eating race.
She will have no trouble adjusting to Canadian food.
I hope you can keep up the pictures after you return home as Saskatoon is too far from Tilbury and we have SEVEN weddings to go to from July to Sept--I might crack up just trying to keep up with the showers!

Keep us posted as to when you are safely home in Canada so we can say a prayer of thanks.
Love from me

The shopping sounds good to me!
