Grama, Grampa and Hail

Hello everyone,
I, Andrew, will be doing the posts now. Nadine is quite busy at work and is not one to use the computer when at home now.
We realized that our last post was a while ago and so much has happened.
A couple of days after Trevor left, Grandma and Grampa came to town. As they were celebrating their 30th married year, I think the trip in the mountains with thier grandaughter was a great way to celebrate. If only it was not quite so hot. The daytime temp here has been getting to 30C easily making the morning the only time to go do anything.

Here they are with Dinara at Lake Louise. It really is an amazing place.
Daddy also likes to dress Dinara up for outings like that. I think that Pink and Camo go really well together.

After Grandma and Grampa left, Canmore had a massive hail storm, the likes of which has not been seen here in decades (according to the locals and the paper). At about 9:30pm, I watched this red cloud system come over the mountains and there was a noise that sounded like marching. The wind gusted up and the marching got louder. I even began hearing screams of people (poor folks that got caught in it). Then the real noise began. The condo here in Canmore has a metal roof and hail stones were driven into the building, some stones the size of golf balls. The noise woke Nadine but not Dinara who slept through the entire thing. The next morning, there was branches and leaves everywhere, stucco and tile sheared from buildings, a few broken windows and exterior lights and dents in some cars. Dinara and I went out to get photos. The storm was over by 11PM and the photos were taken at 9 to 10 AM the next day.

The white in the photos is NOT snow but rather hail all clumped together. The town of Canmore put out the planters seen above the day before. They WERE full of flowers before the storm.

The last thing to report on this post is a new storage unit. We got a stand for the Xbox and router with the drawers as storage for DVDs.

And becuase it is just too cute, this is Dinara sleeping....

Hail!! Wow, that's something else!

Happy to hear from you, Andrew! After being at work all day and then the killer commute, I can't say that I can blame Nadine for NOT wanting to touch the computer :-)

Super-cute pictures of the bug. I bet you're all thinking of how nice a good snow would be right now. You'll be in the minus-tens soon enough :-)

*hugs*

Thought I'd enter a few word to this blog as it has been awhile. I think the last time was when you all were in Moscow.
The hail must have been scary. It seems that our Little One is taking after her Gramma and can sleep through anything. This could be a good thing.
Had a great time with you all in Canmore. Enjoyed our stay and visit more then we can say. Thanks for putting up with the old folks. See you soon.

Hello Pearsons,

LOVE the new entry! Glad to see that you're enjoying your time in Canmore (albeit the heat...it's a scorcher in Saskatoon as well), and that you're getting out and about! LOVE the fact that you used Dinara in a stroller as a scale in each hail-storm photo, Andrew!
It's lovely to see an update- Dinara has the greatest, chubbiest, cutest cheeks I've seen this side of the planet...nay, the WORLD. Seriously, I want to pinch and never let go...
Things here have been crap- been in classes all summer, and now taking a compressed calc-2 class. I'm pretty close to being clinically insane now, so it should be interesting to see how the fall goes!
Lovely to see an update, thanks for keeping us posted. LOVE the photos!
(ps. There is a path along the misfit creek that runs through Canmore- it's a beautiful path- I think Nadine would like it because of the outcrops!)
Hugs,
Aris :)

Hey guys,
Glad to hear an update and see the pics. Dinara is just too damn cute!! Enjoy the summer, the snow will be flying before we know it. Scorcher it has been, but I found my first yellow leaf on the deck yesterday! We have a cool down day today and supposed to rise again. Love to you all, glad you had a visit with Gramma & Grandpa. We haven't left the city yet....

Hey, what about the whirlwind visit by the Oakville Pearsons? I know, it's hard to keep up with all the company...and we can't compete with Gramma and Grandpa :)!

We enjoyed our little visit (and the kids enjoyed the candy bags with the disgusting tasting jelly beans too!). We got a few adorable pictures...you can check our blog to see 'em! Back to Regina and Oakville (after a couple days in Drumheller)......

HI Pearsons!

I loved the pics of Dinara with Sara and Audrey and Eric.
Glad she can see her cousins when she is young.
That hail is unreal--Andrew did a great job on the pics.
I liked the sleeping pic too.

Thanks for the update.
Love from the Tillbillies
It is really hot and dry in Ontario too.

Hey Gang, good to hear from you again. I am basically an office monkey in the saskatoon office now .... :( not really impressed by that though. I don't beleive that there will be any more bush work for me. I guess that I am just to damn productive. Well some day when you return to darkness of Saskatoon you will have to all come over for a visit, if it is before the snow flys and the temperature drops, we have a spray park across the street that I am sure the whole family would enjoy!!! Anyways, many regards and all of that jazz! Looking forward to seeing the 3 of you again soon!
